Devin has always loved music and has been playing guitar and singing since the age of 14 years old. Devin has had experience teaching guitar and vocal lessons online and in person. Devin is an accomplished performing musician and songwriter most well known for his work in the Alternative Rock band Sunsleep. Devin is dedicated to using his experience over the last decade in the music industry to help his students excel in performing skills, songwriting like a pro, and nailing their live performances. My influences range from Modern pop like The Weeknd, Post Malone, Adele and Halsey as well as Pop Rock bands like The 1975, The Killers, Nothing But Thieves, and The Band Camino.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

Guitar is where it all started for me. I love helping my students understand the fundamentals of playing guitar and using it as a tool to help inspire their sound. From learning chord formations, different tunings, scales and theory behind guitar playing I will help my students brush up on their guitar playing chops and learn how to use this instrument in their own expressive way.

What to expect in my Record Engineer Produce

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

I work out of a home studio that I record and produce music in daily. I am experienced in working out of Logic Pro but can help my students understand the fundamentals that go into recording in any DAW. I teach courses on all levels of experience and will help you take your skills as a producer and engineer to the next level. Setting your sessions up for success in engineering, mixing, and mastering as well as understanding MIDI, plugins, audio recording techniques and arrangement.

As a vocalist myself I know how important is it to understand the science and technique behind the voice. I offer vocal lessons to every level of experience and always start at the fundamentals because they are so imperative to excelling at your overall singing approach. I like to coach my singers into finding their own voice and utilizing what they already have to develop their strengths vocally. I work closely with my students in whatever style they are acclimated to singing but reinforce their approach with vowel placement, breath, and exercises to help mold them into the singer they've always wanted to be.

What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

Songwriting is in many ways my greatest talent. I have always been obsessed with dissecting my favorite songs and learning how armament and approach makes a great song pop. As a producer and songwriter by trade I want to help my students develop the mindset and techniques that go into writing a hit song. My course focuses on the theory, structure, and top-line that takes a song to the moon and what those practices involve into turning an amateur songwriter into a pro.
