Hi, my name is Will, and I am a guitarist from Montesano WA. I have been playing guitar for 15 years. I have a minor in Classical Guitar Performance. My musical influences include Rock n’ Roll, Heavy Metal and Jazz, but ALL musical interests are welcome! My teaching style can best be described as well-rounded. I believe in the importance of technique and theory, but not at the expense of finding your own voice. In my lessons, you can expect to learn your songs that you love while learning to express yourself through the guitar. I like to tell my students that you have to learn how to learn to walk before you run. My favorite thing about teaching is watching my students develop as musicians and people. Guitar helped me get through many challenging times in my life and want to pass it on to others. My favorite performance was playing a classical guitar performance at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, OH for 500+ people. I primarily teach electric guitar, but I can also teach acoustic and classical nylon string. My approach as a teacher is to adapt to the student. No two people are the same, soI won’t teach them the same. My goal is to share what made me fall in love with guitar with you and maybe help you learn something new about yourself.
