My name is Abby, and I am a trumpet instructor and performer in the DFW area. As a performer, I have a wide array of experiences in both competitions and public performances. In 2023, I won the large ensemble division of the National Trumpet Competition, and I regularly perform with professional groups such as the Premier Lone Star Wind Orchestra. I am originally from Kentucky, where I got my undergraduate degree in music education! I moved to Texas in 2021 to pursue a masters degree in trumpet performance at UNT. I am now getting my doctorate in trumpet performance from UNT, where I am also a teaching fellow. As a teaching fellow, I teach trumpet lessons to undergraduate students going to school for music. In addition to undergraduate students, I also have a studio of middle and high school students. No matter what level you are, I look for to joining you on your trumpet journey, whether you are a beginner or very advanced. I have students who have made Texas All-State Band, I have students that perform solos on Recitals regularly, and I have students who practice and play just for fun. I want to help you achieve whatever it is you want to get out of the trumpet!
