Grant began playing guitar at the age of 11. Over the years, he developed his skills further by taking private lessons at Sgammato Music, and attending Berklee College of Music. He gained performance experience in the Tampa area by playing at such venues as Crowbar Ybor, Skipper’s Smokehouse, Whippersnapper Music Festival, Gaspirilla Music Festival, The Blueberry Patch, Grand Central Brewery, Dunedin Brewery, Sparkman Wharf, Ruby’s Elixir, New World Brewery, The Factory, Hooch and Hive, and with acts such as Smokestack, Alleycat K, Displace, Tomo Fujita, Face The Fence, etc. Though Grant can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are Blues and Jam Band, which had great influence on his style of playing.Grant loves music because of the joyfulness it brings and loves teaching music because spreading the love of music is his passion.
