Hi, my name is Alexis! I have studied classical guitar for ten years and attended UNC School of the Arts majoring in guitar for high school and college. My favorite thing about teaching music is when a student has a realization about their practice that encourages them not only in their instrument but also in aspects of life. In addition to performing, I am a composer and singer and have completed two albums of original music, played and composed for theater, and have experience as a session musician. I have a highly creative but structured approach to teaching that will help you break your goals down into manageable pieces. I can help you approach many styles on the guitar as well as songwriting, and I look for to helping you become the musician you want to be!
