About Me

Hi, my name is Nyssa and I am an educator from Texas. I have played the violin since the age of four. I studied violin and voice in college. I was trained in Suzuki method and traditional violin, classical vocal. I’ve performed with many symphonic orchestras and bands of various genres. My teaching experience includes K-5 violin and private beginning-intermediate. I am also a former STEAM and bilingual elementary teacher. My teaching philosophy can best be described in two words-creative and constructive. In my lessons, you can expect to develop strong foundational music skills. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Beginner -

Learn the foundational skills of the vocal arts-including proper posture, breathing technique, vocalization, rhythym, dictation, and solfege etc. I will meet you where you are in your musical journey. We can begin with the basics or build upon what you already know!

What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

A strong developing of foundational skills that will carry you forward. I will help you meet your music goals or we can create them together. We will begin where you are and go from there! Finally, I hope to help you develop an appreciation for the arts and your own talents!
