Hi, my name is Marie, andI am an audio engineer and flute teacher from GGrovelandFlorida, originally from Bangor, Pennsylvania. I have been a student of music for 20 years. My musical influences include Katherine Hoover, W.A. Mozart, and Hans Zimmerman. I also enjoy listening to country, rock and pop music. My teaching style can best be described as hands on and how you learn. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I approach to how you work and go from there, soe can find a happy medium. In my lessons, you can expect to learn basic theory, tone, and breathing techniques. I like to tell my students that there is so much to learn and to push to succeed. My favorite thing about teaching is the smile on faces when they did something o, orey were proud with how they practiced. My favorite performance was the orchestra concert for west side story that I did in college. My Myudents love that I share stories with experiences I had as a teacher. I primarily teach flute and piccolo bu, butan also teach basic theory and audio recording. My approach as a teacher is to have students be handhands-onmuch as possible.
