Hi, my name is Troy, and I am a lyric baritone from Louisville. I have been a student of music for 10+ years. My musical influences include western classical opera but I also enjoy bluegrass. My teaching style can best be described as focused. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I aim to instill the same enjoyment of music in my students that I have. In my lessons, you can expect to learn proper breathing and posture, legato, and pitch accuracy. I like to tell my students to be shameless and go all out. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the love of music develop in students. My favorite performance was being Il Conte Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro. I primarily teach opera vocals, but I can also teach more mainstream vocal technique. My approach as a teacher is to listen to the student’s needs and wants. Thanks for taking a look at my profile.
