Hello, my name is John, and I'm a guitarist in Raleigh with 5 years of experience in playing guitar and studying music. Over the years, I’ve become proficient in various styles, including rock, folk, and several sub-genres of jazz Brazilian jazz, cosmic jazz, etc., funk, R&B. I love listening to many genres of music and currently enjoy modern artists like Tyler the Creator as long as classic ones like Jimi Hendrix. Each day, I draw satisfaction from learning new things within music and I’d love to share this excitement of learning music with others. Some musical categories I’d be able teach would include: Beginner: Rhythm/tempo, beginner level songs of your interest, basic chords, note identification along the entire fretboard, jamming with others, how playing in different keys work. Intermediate: more advanced chord shapes and barre chords across the neck, soloing techniques legato, vibrato, slides, etc., phrasing, improvisation, developing your unique sound.
