Hi, my name is Makayla and I am a singer/dancer from Dallas, TX. I have been a student of music for 14 years. My musical influences include the classical era and I also enjoy musical theater. My teaching style can best be described as personal and customized. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I encourage and make learning fun! In my lessons, you can expect to learn songs and styles you love in addition to technical training. I like to tell my students to practice as much as you can so that you can enjoy your hard work. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing my students learn and have fun. My students love that I create a safe learning space. I primarily teach pop, but I can also teach country/jazz/classical.
