About Me

Hello! I’m Dakota, a dedicated singer and music education and performance major from Wichita Falls with over 15 years of experience in the music world. My musical journey has been shaped by piano lessons, saxophone and guitar playing, and a major in voice, and I also enjoy the ukulele. My teaching style is patient and kind, and my philosophy centers on fostering growth through constructive, goal-oriented, and respectful guidance. In our lessons, you’ll gain practical skills in music and also build confidence and personal development skills. I believe music is for everyone, and I love seeing that spark in a student's eyes when they achieve something they’ve been working toward—like playing their favorite song. One of my most cherished performance moments was this April, performing Mahler's 2nd Symphony with the Lubbock Chorale. While I primarily teach voice, I’m also happy to teach piano, guitar, ukulele, and saxophone. I aim to create a supportive learning environment that adapts to each student’s needs, helping them stay responsible while giving them the space to grow.
