Matty M.

My name is Matty, this year marks my 20th year of playing guitar, and ten years of singing. I come from a diverse background of playing, beginning with rock and metal, and transitioning to jazz and musical theatre. I currently am a freelance musician, playing for just about every kind of gig you can imagine: musical theatre shows, jazz gigs, metal concerts, and everything in between. I have also performed as a professional actor for the last ten years within the DC area. I utilized my abilities to sing and play as a marketable tool for myself to acquire more as an actor. I also utilized those same abilities to conduct musical theatre shows and music/vocal direct shows with the subspecialty of hard rock singing. I'm here to teach students how to effectively play the guitar and be a multifaceted, professional musician for today's working world, as well as teach singers foundational pedagogy and sustainable methods of singing pop/rock to further their singing careers.
