Derek began playing guitar and singing at the age of 12. Over the years, he developed his skills further by playing at his home church every week and surrounding himself with every source of musical knowledge he could find. He now plays in the Central Arkansas area with award-winning Country Artist Aaron Owens. Derek is a musical chameleon. He has played everything from gospel to country music, rock and blues. He strives to be as versatile as possible. Derek loves music and loves teaching music he strongly believes that anyone who is passionate about music as he is, should strive to be the best that they could possibly be.
