About Me

Hello! My name is Phil! I have many years of teaching and band directing experience. I have a few instrumental/vocal albums out in the marketplace. I spent a few years teaching high school chorus with shows that I directed ranging from Godspell, A Christmas Carol, and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. I have several years of teaching and mentoring musicians and singers from beginner to intermediate, young and young at heart! Percussion, piano, and voice are my main instruments. I also have a lot of experience with Logic Pro X and Ableton. I graduated from Florida State University in 2002 with a Bachelors degree in Music: Church Music Emphasis.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

I take a structured approach when it comes to learning fundamentals, playing in time, and reading rhythm. But I also love just playing and trying new things! I also enjoy playing other instruments while my students play, helping them understand the drummers role in a band, orchestra, etc.
