Peter has been playing music all his life. Since he was twelve, he’s been focused on playing the drums. Over the years, he’s played in numerous school bands, garage bands, jazz combos, and other music projects. Currently he is playing in a wedding band, while also working on his own music. Some of Peter’s biggest influences are: The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Daft Punk, Nirvana, The Grateful Dead, The Beatles, Parliament, and Queen.
Peter K. has over 16 years of music experience in the Reno area.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Students will learn, discuss, and practice the various elements that make up playing the drums. The key areas of focus in our sessions will include keeping time, limb independence, playing techniques, rhythms for different music styles, music theory, and collaborating with other musicians
Formal Education:
Peter graduated Furman University with an English degree in 2018.
Private Education:
Peter took private music lessons all throughout high school and college.
Performing Experience:
Peter has performed with various cover bands, played in his high school jazz band and percussion ensemble, and in musical theater productions. In addition, he has also worked as a DJ, performed live for original music projects, and currently plays in a wedding band.
Experience Teaching:
Peter has been offering private drum lessons off and on since college. For the past year, he has also been teaching at a rehabilitation center for adolescents.
