I began playing guitar when I attended guitar class in Mitchell Highschool. During my time there, I reached the advanced level in classical guitar and joined a mariachi band that played at events. I carried these skills to Pikes Peak State College where I received training from guitar instructor Roger Nutter. I have been trained in classical guitar, Jazz and blues. My strengths are in classical, jazz, blues and funk. I have been performing for years around the Colorado Springs area through the Pikes Peak jazz ensemble, and events such as the American Music Society's Graner music hall recital, alongside names such as music instructors, Shazia Ali, Abe Minzer, and William Malone. Alongside these events, I put together a repertoire of Spanish music and performed for the Hispanic Heritage festival hosted by Pikes Peak State College.
