What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

I have written tons and tons of songs and there is a method to the madness. Of course teaching some technical tricks of the trade, finding the right words, and sometimes you don’t have to rhyme. Also we would explore the different ways to attack a verse musically or lyrically and then when regarding the chorus, we would be studying the different dynamics used in different types of music. When it comes to songwriting it’s like putting a puzzle together, but once it is finished, it seems as it was put together by someone else.”

As a drum teacher, I like the lessons to start with learning some warm ups, and working on some charts and trying different drill combinations. As lessons progress we will be picking songs we would like to learn and combining those songs and the warm ups. We would also set goals for the future.
