Imagine a life where your passion for music intertwines beautifully with your faith—a life I've been blessed to live since my childhood in southern Mississippi. My journey began at vacation Bible school, where I eagerly took my first steps on the path of music, quickly advancing to become the organist for Pine Grove Baptist Church by the 6th grade. The invaluable guidance of distinguished educators like Dr. Theresa Sanchez from Jones County Junior College and Dr. Gerald Aultman from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary fueled this early start. My parents made incredible sacrifices—investing their time and resources to nurture my talent through lessons and competitions. As an adult, I've had the privilege of serving as a pianist and organist for various church congregations, embracing every opportunity to share my musical gifts. I am always thrilled when called upon to lead worship at the keyboard, knowing that many talented musicians are available, yet feeling honored to contribute to the spiritual atmosphere of our community. My spiritual journey began at the tender age of 9. Since then, I've embraced numerous roles within the church, including Director of Women's Ministries, Director of Children's Ministries, and Director of Youth Ministries. Together with my wonderful husband, Roger, whom I’ve cherished since 1990, we've also found joy in serving our church family by preparing Wednesday evening meals. Blessed with two daughters, three granddaughters, and a delightful mix of dogs, our family embodies God's abundant grace and love. Currently, I direct the choir and play the piano for Byrd's Chapel UMC in Henleyfield, MS. I also share my passion for music by teaching beginner piano lessons from my home, at Picayune Music and now with Taylor Robinson Music.
