About Me

Hi, my name is Chad and I am a guitar, mandolin, and ukulele teacher that lives in Denver. I have been a student of music for 30+ years. My musical influences include rock and roll, folk, country, bluegrass, blues, jazz, swing, funk, bossa nova, gypsy jazz, finger style guitar, mandolin, ukulele and much, much more. My teaching style can best be described as understanding the building blocks and basics first thru understanding 1-4-5 chord progressions. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I'm patient. In my lessons, you can expect to learn simple songs that have clichés to apply to other simple songs. I like to tell my students to start with simple songs and build from there. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing my students connect with their instrument and have ah ha moments. My students love that I teach so many styles. I primarily teach simple songs to build on, but I can also teach swing or jazz too.
