About Me
I've been singing in school and church my entire life. I have a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Music Performance from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. I've sung with many churches, symphony orchestras, and opera houses, including Opera Memphis, Opera Utah, and Utah Symphony Chorus. I don't waste time. I don't settle. If you're looking for a teacher who is serious about setting you up for singing for an entire lifetime, who knows music theory, music history, sight-reading, and how to keep the voice healthy, then I'm the teacher you need. No matter what genre of music you want to sing, classical training gives you a foundation to sing anything in a way that won't fatigue or damage your voice.

What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
The only way to learn about singing is to sing. I realize that this profession isn't for everybody. My only expectation is that if you find out that your heart isn't in it anymore, that you let me know. Trust me, you'll find no judgment from me. After I get an understanding of your goals as in, do you want to (A) Be a star (B) Sing for school and/or church (C) Go to auditions and competitions for degree programs and cash prizes (D) Learn to keep your voice healthy and keep from burning out (E) Learn more about how vocal music is written or how to analyze/read music (F) Become a voice teacher yourself, then we'll move on to begin your voice lessons. I believe in classical technique as the foundation for any genre. I sang gospel/sacred music for most of my life and I've found that classical training can take you anywhere you want to sing.
