Kevin M.
Orchestral Lessons

6 Years
Hi, my name is Kevin and I am a Music Education Major at the University of North Texas. I have been a student of music for 6 years. My teaching style can best be described as fun and effective. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I believe in consistency in practice and enjoying the music being made. In my lessons, you can expect to learn scales, etudes, and saxophone repertoire from many different genres. I also teach music theory, which I believe helps musicians have a better understanding of the music they are playing. My favorite thing about teaching is helping my students reach their musical goals, and hopefully developing as much of a passion and joy for music performance that I do. My favorite performance was either my time as a soloist in the North Texas Green Brigade in 2021, or my current performances as a member of the North Texas Wind Orchestra. I primarily teach saxophone, but I can also teach many other wind instruments as well as voice. My approach as a teacher is to introduce music that I feel will challenge students, but not overwhelm them. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Hope to meet you soon!
