Joel began playing Bass at the age of 15. Over the years, he developed his skills further by going to school and performing professionally. He gained performance experience in the Central Kentucky area by playing at such venues as the Burl and with acts such as The Glenn Miller Orchestra. Though Joel can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are Jazz, Country, Blues, and Motown which had great influence on his style of playing. Joel loves music because its ability to make everything stand still and loves teaching music because seeing someone achieve their goal is a great experience for the teacher and student.
