About Me
Hi I’m Shawn and I teach foundational music lessons here in Oklahoma! My main instrument is guitar I played as a young kid, joined the military and served several years. After retiring in 2015 I picked guitar and music back up and haven’t looked back. My focus is on essential foundations I.e. understanding rhythm, melody and harmony and my favorite, connecting what you hear AND sing to what you play! I teach an adult beginner class at Kiamichi Tech in Talihina OK and have a dedicated music studio 8 miles outside of town. I have done lessons online if that’s preferred or easier. I currently mentor under award winning professional recording artist Ulrich Ellison for over two years. I use the foundations I have been taught to my students. Look forward to finding your voice!
