I've been playing music for 18 years, starting on piano at age 7. I was taught by Doug "Trigger" Gaston, a great buffalo Jazz pianist. I have been playing guitar and studying theory religiously for the past 12 years, with 9+ years of an enjoyable teaching experience and students ranging from children to adults with musical tastes in blues rock and jazz. This experience has allowed me to tailor a curriculum that provides a personalized way of understanding beginner to advanced concepts with a comprehensive and applicable approach for all students. Ultimately this gives students the knowledge to learn a piece of music they enjoy or to learn to create their own music individual to them.

I have been classically Trained for 9 years on the piano and was taught by Jazz pianist Doug Gaston.
I've had various studies and practice with veteran local jazz players.
I've had extensive studies in Eastern indian frame drumming(kanjira) odd meters,polyrhythms and solkattu/konnokol.
Performing Experience:
I have played in several groups over the years from punk to jazz fusion, and several improvised/experimental performances.
Experience Teaching:
I've been a teacher in general for 9+ years and a music/guitar teacher for the past 6 years from horn players piano players for theory ans improvisation, I've also taught a few percussionists and drummers purely for complex and Eastern rhythm studies.
