Hi, my name is Faith. I am a singer/songwriter originally from Kentucky and also Nashville, TN. I have been a student of music for 12 years. My musical influences include gospel, jazz, contemporary and I also have an appreciation for classical and choral music. I like to provide a safe and challenging environment for my students to feel encouraged to grow beyond their comfort zone. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I love to help students be able to freely sing in their authentic voice. In my lessons, you can expect to learn about healthy vocal techniques, and applying those to various styles of music. I like to tell my students that it is possible to sing in any style they choose, while not compromising vocal technique. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing my students light up after accomplishing a challenging musical goal. My favorite performance was singing with The Lubben Brothers Folk Band at Palm Beach Atlantic University. My students love that I encouraged them to become their best and never forget to have fun singing. I primarily teach voice, but I can also teach piano. I prefer chord-based methods of piano accompaniment and contemporary piano styles, such as Jazz piano. My approach as a teacher is to help the individual student work on what is beneficial to them musically in ways that enriches their life. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Hope to meet you soon!
