Kearsten began playing Violin at the age of four. Over the years, she developed her skills further by taking violin lessons, joining choir, learning piano, learning viola, and joining orchestra. She gained performance experience in the vocal area by performing at such venues as the Washington National Cathedral, PBS NYE live show, working with many new composers, and taking voice lessons throughout her collegiate career. Though Kearsten can teach many genres of music, her musical personal favorites are French romance era, and classical which had great influence on her style of playing. Kearsten loves music because it gives her a sense of understanding and allows her to be creative and free and loves teaching music because she is able to help her students feel that way as well.
