About Me

Hi, my name is William and I am a guitarist from New York City. I have been a student of music for 6 years. I have performed for legendary venues such as, Arlene’s Groceries, Rockwood Music Hall, and Rubulad. My musical influences include / lot of jazz and complex harmony. I also enjoy singing, writing songs, and learning my favorite songs/riffs.. My teaching style can best be described as linear at first, but I take an approach that is catered to what the students want to learn. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that learning guitar is about finding love in the little details that unlock sounds you hear all time, in songs, soundtracks, video games!. In my lessons, you can expect to learn technical skill, rhythm, and learning to feel what music should like to you. Each goal is independent and will take effort on your part! I like to tell my students when we aren’t doing lessons, picking up the guitar for 5 minutes is better than none at all. There are 1,440 minutes in the day, leaving you with 1435 to live life, just five to pick it up and get used to it. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the joy of learning your favorite songs, there’s a magic to it, unlocked a new set of abilities for me. My favorite performance was when I was playing a DIY Fundraiser for Gaza. My students love that I skilled at what I play, and can break down chords easily and fast. I love to teach any form of music, it gives me a workout! but I can also teach songwriting and what makes good lyrics.
