Hi, my name is Jhonner and I am a guitar/vocal coach from Colombia. I have been a student of music for 9 years. My musical influences include jazz, mariachi, classical, and a lot of cultural variety from western to eastern cultures, and I also enjoy drinking a good coffee. My teaching style can best be described as fun and energetic rather than boring and always doing the same. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I consider everyone unique and with full potential to grow and become who they want to be, if you believe it. In my lessons, you can expect to learn music theory, or empirical music depending on your knowledge. This would apply in either singing lessons or guitar lessons. I like to tell my students that even with one lesson they will forever keep a beautiful memory in them and they will be able to enjoy music. My favorite thing about teaching is getting to know my students and their unique soul essence. My favorite performance was at a Mariachi festival in Mexico, or singing the national anthem at Taft college graduation. My students love that I communicate rather than to have them figure things out. I primarily teach singing, but I can also teach guitar.
