Palmer has always loved music from an early age. He began playing the saxophone and piano at the age of 9 and continued his education by obtaining private lessons, playing in middle school, high school band, church bands and then to go on teaching others thereafter. Palmer's impressive gift is that he can play fluently by ear. He was recognized and received the highest award you can obtain in high school for his music abilities which is the John Philip Sousa Award, what an honor. Palmer's favorite thing about music is still being able to play proficiently after 72 years of life and his favorite thing about teaching music is seeing his students develop and being fulfilled in their music endeavors. One of his favorite teaching experiences was teaching Mark Harris who is a now a well known paid traveling musician around the world.
