I have been playing classical piano for 29 years and have 5 years of teaching experience with students of all ages. It's never too late to learn something new, and I'm still learning too! What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Whether you're just beginning, or have a few years under your belt, we will work together to find the right learning plan for you. My background is in classical, and I believe it is always best to learn the basics first so that you can expand to learn other genres. If you've got specific pieces that you'd like to learn, I am happy to work on those with you as well.
Formal Education:
Piano Performance major at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Private Education:
16+ years of private piano lessons.
Performing Experience:
I have over 15 years of experience in performing, ranging from solo recitals to accompanying choirs and playing with classical, marching and jazz bands.
Experience Teaching:
I have two years of experience in teaching private piano lessons and three years teaching in a studio. My students ranged from age 5 to age 70.

A great mentor.
A lot of my previous teachers attempted to progress me a bit fast. I was a bit shy and nervous to mention anything to them, asking them to slow down as I didn't want to embarrass myself. That's where Ms. Rachael was different. She's a great player but didn't make me feel sheepish or stupid by being so much better. She properly assessed my speed and knew I may need a bit more practice than others. She taught me on my level, with patience and understanding, which is the mark of a great teacher.
