Hello, name is Devin and I would love to be a mentor to anyone who wants to learn vocals or music production. I work primarily in Ableton Live and am a proficient singer with a lot of tricks up my sleeve for a quick progression into singing or creating beats. I've been playing and learning music since I was 3 years old and have played in orchestras throughout my childhood and was a classically trained violinist/cellist. Through the Suzukiethod I learned discipline, repetitive practice and thoughtful planning is a one way road to success as a musician. I look forward to meeting with you to begin your music journey.

What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
I like to start by seeing what level the student is at, whether they have experience already or are just starting out recording/singing. From there I like to focus in on their weak spots and put together a lesson plan tailored to their personal needs. For vocals I like to focus on proper warmup and breath control exercises and then move into intonation and tone. I love using scales and the circle of 5ths to help students better understand music theory and how chords and notes fit together.
What to expect in my Record Engineer Produce
Beginner - Intermediate
For recording and creating full tracks/beats I usually will do a rundown of the basic functions of Ableton Live and how to navigate the basic plugins needed to record and create a single track using samples or instruments. From there we will gradually work up to creating a full track using sound design and recording techniques, then move into mixing and mastering.
