Silas began playing bass at the age of seventeen. Over the years, he developed his skills further by practicing and studying music at Elon University. He gained performance experience in the Elon area by playing at such venues as The reeves theater, Fat Frogg, Mcrary Hall, Yeager Hall. Though Silas can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are Jazz, Funk, and R&B which had great influence on his style of playing.Silas loves music because It brings people together and loves teaching music because it gives people a hobby that brings lots of joy.
