My journey with the guitar started in my hometown of Cape Town, South Africa, but has since taken me from intimate folk fingerpicking to raw Delta blues slide playing. Whether you're looking to strum your first chords, master fingerpicking, or dive into the soulful world of open tunings, I would love to be the one to guide you! I've performed around Sarasota, on street corners and in coffee shops, refining my craft through experience, collaboration, and a lifelong love of music. My approach to teaching is hands-on, patient, and tailored to each student—whether you want to play for yourself, jam with friends, or take the stage. With a strong foundation in blues improvisation, folk storytelling/songwriting, and expressive playing, I’ll help you find your own unique voice on the guitar.
