About Me

Jodi has always loved music from an early age. She began playing guitar at the age of 8 and drums at age 11. She continued her education by joining band and briefly becoming a music major in college, as well as pursing private lessons from professional musicians as an adult. Her musical influences include a wide variety classical, rock, folk, funk, blues, bluegrass, country, reggae and she's open to learning about others.Jodi's favorite thing about music is it's power to allow people to creatively express themselves and connect to other humans. Herr favorite thing about teaching music is seeing and hearing! the joy when a student "clicks" in understanding a concept or skill. One of her favorite teaching experiences was when she learned why her picking wasn't working on guitar wasn't properly alternating.
