I have over a year of experience teaching music and theatre, and work extremely well with kids. Along with my teaching experience, I have lengthy backgrounds in each individual instrument/art! Voice-I have a total of 14 years of vocal education under my belt! I began singing in a children’s choir when I was four, and taking private lessons when I was 6. I started competing in classical voice when I was 12, and continued that until I was 17. I am trained in a wide variety of styles including: opera, traditional and contemporary musical theatre, pop, country, rock, and blues. Theatre/acting-I have about a decade of theatre experience, the majority of which being in competitive musical theatre. I am trained in screen and stage acting, Shakespeare, set design, and audio-visual tech. Piano-I have 12 years of experience with piano! I started with classical piano at 6, which I competed with until I was 14. I taught my self how to preform contemporary accompaniment when I was 15, and I use that currently while I preform. I am trained in both classical piano and keyboard accompaniment. Guitar-I have around 6 years of experience with guitar, however the majority of those were self taught. I began taking formal lessons at age 15, however I was only trained in contemporary styles. However, guitar is the instrument I use the most frequently when gigging as a preforming musician.
