About Me

Hi, my name is Isaiah, and I'm a musician from Rutherford County, NC. I've been playing all sorts of brass instruments since I was in middle school. My teaching style has been described as relaxed, but to the point. I understand that people have different ways and methods of learning, and I'm willing to give everyone a shot and find their best fit. I have an extensive background in music, ranging from beginning band in middle school, to playing and marching all the way through high school. In the past 4 years, I've served in a number of ensembles, such as Gardner-Webb's orchestra, symphonic band, percussion ensemble, marching band, and pep band. I am also one of the lead trombones in the Symphony of Rutherford County. I have also marched in the world-class drum and bugle corps, Spirit of Atlanta. Essentially, it's a "professional marching band" that travels across the country and performs in cities such as San Antonio, TX, Atlanta, GA, Allentown, PA, and Indianapolis, IN. I've given lessons to a local student before, and they made it to the first round of callbacks for Spirit of Atlanta. My first approach to students is to always evaluate where they areat in terms of skill, whether tthey are beginner, intermediate, or anywhere in-between.
