About Me

Hello! Thank you for checking out my instructor profile! A little bit about myself: I am a lifelong performer, and I've been singing since childhood, while I've learned a lot in the process, like the hard way to do certain things and how they should be done while singing or performing, I am also classically trained as a vocalist and an instructor. I got my start with vocal coaching with the U.S. Army Soldier Show, part of the Army Entertainment Division. I began as a performer who quickly ended up coaching the other performers, and ended up as the Assistant Artistic Director for the show. In the directors seat, I went from a simple vocal coach to a full on vocal teacher. I am currently in two cover bands and working on a third, so I have plenty of performance experience that I can share with you. The way I see it, anyone can sing, it's just a matter of finding your unique singing voice and then using it. If you've ever had a voice teacher who told you that you couldn't sing, they just didn't try hard enough and they didn't know how to bring your voice out. I know that'll shatter anyone's confidence, but I can help you recover it. We won't just be doing a lot of boring scales where you have no idea why you're singing these scales over and over again. I like to explain why we do each exercise, and what benefit you're going to get from each one. I also play the guitar, and can give basic guitar lessons to get you started with an instrument that you can sing with! You'll be performance ready before you know it! whether you're already in a band and wondering why you have no voice left after your shows, or you are just wanting to sound better while having sing-alongs by the camp fire or for karaoke night with your friends, or you're wanting to try out for a local musical and want to make sure your vocal chops are up to the task, I can certainly help you out. For any situation you happen to be in, I've already been there and done that. I'm excited to help you on your vocal journey and eager to get started with you!
