Hi, my name is Tyler and I am a multi-instrumentalist from Billings. I have been a student of music for close to 15 years. My musical influences include Jazz and Classical Music while I also enjoy Contemporary Music as well. My teaching style can best be described as hands on and engaging. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I believe everyone who shows interest has potential. In my lessons, you can expect to learn music theory, technical faculty, as well as Classical and Jazz performance techniques. I like to tell my students that slow is fast and often the quickest way to success is through slow, mindful, methodical practice. My favorite thing about teaching is watching my students progress. My favorite performance was without a doubt, Joshua Redman at the Village Vanguard. My students love that I am engaging and conversational. I primarily teach Trumpet, but I can also teach Tuba, beginner Trombone and general music theory.
