Nateis a singer, songwriter, recording artist, and worship leader from Chicago, IL. His musical journey began at the age of five when he started formal private music lessons at the Blue Island School of Music. In 2016, he founded the multi-award-winning gospel group Nate & SIGN (Singing in God’s Name), which has received four awards for its contributions to both music and the community. The group has toured extensively, performing across the United States as well as numerous cities in Norway and Italy, spreading music, love, and the Gospel through song. A 2023 graduate of Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, Nate studied under jazz and classical award-winning artist G. Thomas Allen and legendary musician Cassandra O’Neal, former musical director for Prince. Passionate about uplifting fellow artists, he founded the Black Creative Arts Scholarship in 2024, supporting emerging Black creatives in their artistic pursuits. Beyond his work in Christian spaces, Nate has also collaborated with interfaith organizations, using music as a bridge to foster unity and understanding across different faith traditions. In addition to singing at events nationwide, he serves locally at Fellowship Chicago, where he initially joined under the leadership of his godfather, multi-award-winning gospel artist Charles Jenkins, and continues to serve under Pastor Reginald W. Sharpe Jr. His latest album, King of the Wild II: Live at Lincoln Park Zoo, is available on all digital platforms. Through his music, ministry, and advocacy for the arts in underserved communities, Nate remains committed to making a lasting impact
