About Me

Hi, my name is Sam. I am a 22 year old singer and vocal coach. It had always been my dream to be a singer for as long as I can remember. In my journey I have definitely experienced my own share of vocal challenges or may I say even trials and tribulations. Mechanical struggles and limits, peaks and plateaus and even vocal injury. I could have accepted many different truths at that point but I wasn’t raised a quitter and I new that true success never comes without failures and that everytime I failed it was a learning opportunity. I have been fortunate enough to be able to say I’ve worked first hand on the study of the voice with some of this countries and whom I believe to be world class vocal instructors. Some of which are Celebrity and Vocal Coach to the Stars Stevie Mackey and Justin Stoney of New York Vocal Coaching. However before I was lucky enough to have lessons from them, I unfortunately had my share of voice teachers that were just passing down false information that not only when applied sounded bad, but caused injuries and led to much frustration. However these teachers would generally yet respectfully and not commonly be described as good singers themselves. I am now a firm believer in learning from people that can actually do things you want to do. If they don’t sound like anything good, save your money, time and mental health and find a new instructor. I am proud to say that even though I cannot sing in every key I would like to yet! My journey and study is not over, I strongly believe I soon will and I am very confident in what I can do and the fact that my skills and technique have proven to create good sounds, healthy sounds and reliable sounds. I also humbly believe I have one of the most thorough understandings of the voice, its function and how it operates in every way. I would be very grateful to get the opportunity as a new voice instructor to transform an aspiring voice. Even if your not interested in being a star maybe you just want to sing at a family wedding or not get laughed at, at karaoke on a Friday night with your friends, maybe your not a singer at all but your job is very demanding on your voice and your just finding it difficult keeping up. I am confident I can be your honest yet helpful guide. Despite your challenges don’t be discouraged and as a great voice teacher once said to me, don’t lose your joy and keep singing!
