I’ve played every style of music over the last 30+years. I’ve won guitar contests, battle of the bands, and played well over 10,000 shows. My first love was Rock and Heavy Metal but after some years, I needed more soul and depth, so I studied the blues. For a solid 5 years, I didn’t move in any other direction but I needed more! I learned many fusions via different artists and learned some jazz, country, and most importantly, music theory. After playing for 20 years, I went to college and earned a degree in music performance. It is so much easier to understand, now that I have an education for it and not just an ear and ability to mimic what I hear.
