2 Years
My dad has played guitar since he was younger, so he wanted me to learn. But I didn't start learning in earnest until I got into The Beatles' music in high school and took a couple of guitar and music classes. Since then, I have been self-taught and played in a band during college, mostly focusing on classic and alternative rock. But as the years went on, my repertoire expanded, so I like to play whatever sounds good. I've played with a band from 2 and liked to play in the halls at anime conventions for fun. Since college, I've also learned to write songs and developed the ability to figure out songs and tunes just by listening and watching. I've occasionally taught bandmates, friends, and my sons the basics of guitar playing.
Carlos P. has over 2 years of music experience in the Kirkland area.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Learning guitar can be a fun learning experience, but it's important to practice a lot and focus and concentrate. It can grow to be a great accomplishment when you realize you can play a song with chords or notes and remember it. With continuous practice and playing you will be able to remember where the chords and notes are without having to think very much. And after a few years it will be easier to play by ear! I can teach you the basics like notes, and chords if you are just starting out, or if you have experience and you need help to learn a song or two, I can help or we can even learn it together.
