What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
-Experimenting with the singer's voice to help them find their beautiful, authentic sound and build confidence in their abilities! Warm-ups that will prepare the student's body, mind, and instrument for singing and performing, also for the student to be able to do on their own before rehearsal outside of lessons Examples: Body stretches, face stretches, tongue twisters, lip trills, sirens, etc.-Rehearsing music chosen by the student or by me, if that is preferred.-Work-shopping and exploring music by modifying the singer's tone, vowels, posture, breathing, vocal technique, etc., to best fit their unique voice with the piece.-Analyzing the meaning of a piece and how to reflect that within the piece; honing in on where the piece can be taken further to healthily challenge the student Examples: musicality, dynamics, word emphasis, breath choices, etc-A fun, low-stakes environment with room for mistakes and growth!
