Hi, I’m Avery. I’ve been playing guitar for over a decade. I started playing in middle school, and I liked it for a long time, but it wasn’t until after high school, when I was introduced to jazz, that I gained a new love and respect for the art. I’ve played blues and rock since the start of my guitar journey and have since adopted jazz, soul, r&b, funk, and my personal favorite jazz fusion. I spent some time at the University of North Florida studying music and guitar, which was helpful. However, the most monumental thing for me was how I started to play and understand music after I had been consistently gigging for a while. I’ve been playing with a fusion band for 4-5 years now consistently, while also taking pop cover gigs and other genres from time to time. I started a small freelance lesson business and had it rolling for around 2 years, and now I’m hoping to expand with Taylor Robinson. I’m very open minded, patient, and I can get along with just about anybody.
