Raymond (a.k.a. Ray West) is known for his face melting screams, as demonstrated in the popular early nineties underground NYC street metal band Spread Eagle, known for skull pounding songs like Scratch Like a Cat, and Switchblade Serenade. Soon after, Ray Spread his wings to create more modern compositions in his APW band, which opened up the path for licensing songs to television, and movies. The reformed Spread Eagle released their long-awaited third album "Subway to the Stars" in the summer of 2019, and in 2026 are now working on their fourth album for release in 2026. In 2023, Ray decided to rebrand APW, the band is now known as SUPAFLY, and in 2024 released his Vibe album through the Deko Entertainment label. His first book, “Melody to Madness”, tells the story of how he found his own unique singing voice and shows how any singer can find their own unique tone and style. The collaboration with Vendera Publishing was due to the fact that Ray is one of Jamie's all time favorite singers. Not only is Ray an accomplished singer and songwriter, he is also a professional vocal coach.
