Hi, my name is Everest, and I am a guitarist from Oceanside. I have been a student of music for 14 years. My musical influences include blues musicians such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, metal musicians such as Marty Friedman, and Jazz musicians such as Wes Montgomery. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I focus on teaching applicable skills rather than songs, and I teach songs to show how these skills can be applied in the real world. In my lessons, you can expect to learn a variety of technical skills as well as theory, with some songs to apply these skills. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing students become more comfortable with their instrument and seeing them starting to develop a deep love for music. My favorite performance was probably my first show at soma, it taught me a lot about how the music industry worked at more professional venues.
