About Me

Myles Ta. has over 13 years of music experience in the Richardson area.

Myles Ta. is proficient in and teaches Bass Guitar Lessons, Drum Lessons, Keyboard and Piano Lessons, Vocal Lessons, Orchestral Lessons .



Formal Education:

I attended Roosevelt University from 1997 to 2000.

Performing Experience:

I performed with Rodney Whitaker, Wycliffe Gordon, Orbert Davis, Wynton Marsalis, Nicole Mitchell, Corey Wilkes, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Lemmie Battles, Tiaybe, Baritone, Harvey Mason, Monifah, Al Haig, Slum Village, Dwele, Big Daddy Kane and others who have tremendously affected the music industry. Now I'm working with my own jazz group here in Dallas. These talented musicians play straight-ahead jazz with a quality that can be appreciated by the strongest of jazz lovers.

Experience Teaching:

Grand Ave Preschools and Daycare Sept 2011-May 2012
• Introduction of music to children ages 2-5
• Strengthening speech abilities and memory via music
• Introduction of multiple musical instruments to children by demonstration
• Preparation of concert material and execution for parents and loved ones
Covenant United Church of Christ January 2010-May 2012
• Teach Gospel and Praise and Worship music to teen choir.
• Teach the teen choir the finer points of worship so that they will know how to function as
worship leaders.
• Work with youth band members including arranging horn parts for the horn section.
• Play worship services weekly.
• Serve as rehearsal pianist for Sanctuary choir when needed.
The Salvation Army 2009-2011
• One-on-one teaching with students for personal musical development
• Composition and arrangement of music for multiple ensembles
