Abner began playing trumpet at the age of 8. Over the years, he developed his skills further by practicing and studying under talented professors. He gained performance experience in the classical area by playing at such venues as Carnegie Hall, Lima National Theater, Broward Center for the Arts, among other venues; and with acts such as being featured as a soloist with the New England Symphonic Ensemble in New York and New England Youth Ensemble. Though Abner can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are classical which had great influence on his style of playing. Abner loves music as a means of expressing the deepest emotions and thoughts hidden within the human soul. His passion for teaching music is rooted in Plato's belief that music has the power to shape virtuous individuals.
