Stephen began playing piano at the age of six. Over the years, he developed his skills further by joining a jazz band in high school and then later attending college and graduate school for music! He gained performance experience in the Tampa Bay area by playing at such venues as Busch Gardens, The Palladium Side Door, Clearwater Jazz Festival, and with acts such as Gloria West and the Gents. Though Stephen can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are jazz and solo piano pieces, which had great influence on his style of playing. Stephen loves music because of the happiness and enjoyment it brings the audience and musicians and loves teaching music because he loves working with others who are just as excited to learn about the piano and music.
