Hi, my name is Nick and I am a singer from Augusta, GA. I have been a student of music for 17 years. My musical influences include jazz, classical, early music, and I also enjoy musical theatre. My teaching style can best be described as fun, imaginative, and feeling based, while still being able to articulate what's going on physically while you sing! My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I believe that singing should be fun and relaxing, and that being musical and connected to the music emotionally is what makes us better, more well rounded musicians. In my lessons, you can expect to learn healthy vocal technique, music theory, how to analyze text, and how to enjoy singing. I like to tell my students that knowing why you perform makes all the difference in your technique and makes you more well rounded. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing and hearing the progress my students make, and watching them learn to love making music even more! My favorite performance was singing in Waitress the musical here in Baton Rouge. I primarily teach classical, but I can also teach musical theatre, pop, and jazz.
